This week’s feature is the second part of my Radio Ga Ga programme – a homage to community radio in all its diversity.
I first got involved in community radio 2NUR FM in Newcastle, Australia in 1996 (it still exists today!). Its position on the Newcastle university campus allows a dynamic bond between the locals and the students. I presented and contributed to numerous programmes and also worked in the newsroom before coming to France in 1998. I represented 2NUR FM at Amarc’s international conference for community broadcasters…a fabulous way to meet people like me on a global platform.
AMARC is an international non-governmental organization serving the community radio movement, with almost 4 000 members and associates in 110 countries.
IN THIS WEEK’S EDITION – interviews with people from Fiji, Australia, Papua new guinea, USA and Germany…and more.
Last week was the first part of the feature with other interviews recorded in English
